Godly Death Metal - Lykathea Aflame - ELveneFris (Another Xmass Post)

JGD of The Living Doorway had this to say about the subject of today's post- "Lykathea Aflame's Elvenefris is an absolutely colossal maelstrom of godly death metal, and something I've been borderline obsessed with since I first heard it...I honestly don't even want to try to describe the million little intricacies that make this such an amazing release. Just listen, and get lost in 72 minutes of some of the most intense, emotive, brutal, and beautiful death metal you've ever heard". I would concur and add that if perhaps Rush had gone ahead and really fallen into that black hole they were always singing about and emerged somewhere on the other side of the universe so infused with cosmic energy that their musical and intellectual capabilities made it possible to traverse the ungodly millions of light years required to return reborn to Earth in a matter of two or three decades, they would then have unveiled the wonders of their newfound interstellar wisdom in the form of this record. And lo, the album title had the word ELF in it...

I hate elves. I like elf owls, though...
